ELECTROSTATIC SPRAYING WITH BENEFECT DECON 30: NOW SCHEDULING FOR HOMES, BUSINESSES, VEHICLES, AND BOATS |
Know the
Difference.
- Cleaning removed dust, debris and dirt from a surface by scrubbing, washing, and rinsing.
- Sanitizing reduces the bacteria identified on the product's label on surface and in laundry.
- Disinfecting destroys or inactivates both the bacteria and viruses identified on the product's label (like Covid-19 and rhinovirus) on surfaces.
| Why Disinfection is Important.
Remember that you should disinfect - not sanitize - because disinfectants are the only products approved by the EPA to kill viruses. The main difference is that EPA approved sanitizers only have claims for bacteria, while disinfectants have claims against both bacteria and viruses.

How to Prepare and the Process for Electrostatic Disinfection.
- Please put away all food, clothing, paper, and portable electronics. Electrostatic spraying puts down a very fine mist that is harmless to people and animals but it can give an unpleasant taste to food and the moisture is not good for paper and some non water-resistant electronics.
- Our disinfection team will typically be a crew of two workers. One will be using the electrostatic sprayer and the second will follow behind wiping down surfaces such as mirrors and windows to prevent streaking and spotting. No surfaces will be wiped down until at least ten minutes after they have been sprayed to allow sufficient time for the disinfectant to work properly. Some more commonly touched items that are difficult to spray properly or could be damaged by moisture such as remote controls and light switches will be manually wiped down with CDC/EPA approved disinfectant wipes.
- All typically touched areas seven feet high and below will be treated with the exception of TV's and AV equipment, computers, inside drawers, closets, and cabinets, and any paintings and artwork not made out of water-resistant materials unless specifically requested.
